2019 Continuing Education Mandatory Activity

When the Continuing Education (CE) guidelines were revised, an annual mandatory activity worth two (2) CEUs was added. This is to ensure that all Professional Members connect with the Association at least once a year and, as such, stay on top of ideas and/or changes in the industry. Please keep reading for the mandatory activity for 2019.

Please read the following.

An attorney is interested in engaging an expert in the field of reflexology for a case they are trying.

The case involves a woman in her late 60s who was receiving reflexology treatments in 2015 for tendinitis in her L ankle, as well as pain and swelling. On December 21, 2015, she attended a routine reflexology treatment and was treated by a new provider who allegedly applied very deep, hard pressure to the ankle. Allegedly, she experienced such pain to the area afterward that she could not put her foot on the floor; her swelling worsened to the point that she could not use regular footwear and she was only able to walk with a cane. Her primary care provider confirms that she developed plantar fasciitis after this reflexology treatment and that she has complained of worsened pain.

The attorney is seeking a reflexology expert to opine on possible breaches in the standard of care.

Please answer the following questions
